Diana

I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a hairdresser. I started my training at the age of 14 when I attended Bullard Havens RVTS in the Hairdressing / cosmetology department.

After graduating from Bullard Havens RVTS in 1983 with my state hairdressing license, I decided to further my education and attend Sacred Heart University. My concentration was Business management.

Since graduating with a Bachelor’s of science in Business management I have worked for two other national chain salson before opening up Looks Hair Design in 1994, with my husband Mark.

I enjoy making a difference in my client’s life. Someone can come in stressed from their job or home life but now leave feeling like a million dollars!

Mark

I graduated from the Academy of Hairstyling in Hartford in 1978. I worked locally in Enfield, progressed to managing larger salons in Hartford (G. Fox) and Heidi’s (West Farms Mall).

When I met Diana I knew we both shared a desire to own our own salon.

We took all the best policies and programs we had learned from our previous employers as well as adding some of our own. You won’t get a cup of espresso, but you will find a staff who truly care about your needs.

Think of the TV show “Cheers” Everybody knows your name — That’s Looks!

Lori

I graduated from Gal-Mar Academy of Hairdressing in 1993. I worked at Looks Hair Design from 1995-2004 when I left to have my second son. Although I wasn’t in a salon, I kept my license current while pursuing other passions in the health and beauty industries.

I returned to Looks Hair Design as a stylist in 2021. My favorite part of being a hairstylist is making people feel good about themselves. Haircutting is my love but I also enjoy coloring and highlighting.

When I am not at the salon you can find me running, spending time with my family and convincing my friends to enter races with me.

Devin

I graduated from Platt Tech in 2014 with my hairdressing and cosmetologist license. I started at Looks Hair Design in 2013 as a receptionist and continued working there while I completed my four year B.S. degree in Small Business and Enterpreneurship from Johnson and Whales University in 2017.

I worked my way up from the front desk to behind the chair. Being behind the chair is what I’ve always wanted to do since I was very young helping out at a family friends salon. I knew I wanted to make people feel good about themselves and hairdressing gives me the opportunity to do that. I am most passionate about coloring and highlighting because of the transformation I can achieve for my clients. I am also trained in make up application and formal styling which I love doing for proms and weddings.

When I am not at the salon you can find me spending timewith my friends, hitting up local restaurants for their happy hour specials or tucked away in a cozy chair reading a really good novel. What you won’t find me doing is running in a race with Lori and Diana.
